So I just got an iPhone 6S 16GB as a gift. But, I'm in a dilemma of whether to keep it or to sell it off and get an S7/Edge instead. Due to the iPhone's poor battery life and just 12 GB of usable memory, I'm more inclined for the latter. Will that be a good decision?
Also, where should I sell the iPhone? I'm getting offers of about 38k on OLX, but I'd love it if I could sell it for anything above 42k. Should I take the iPhone to a local mobile dealer and ask him to exchange it for an S7? What price do you reckon I'll get for it?

I bought my first Android phone,XOLO Q700 last year because it was cheap. Though phone did not give me any problem yet after one and half year, but does not have much custom ROM support. I was thinking of buying Xiaomi Note. But now when I came to know problems with MediaTek not releaseing kernel source, I have apprehension to buy any MediaTek Processor phone. So my question is, is it really worth to buy MeidaTek processor phones?

We need an isolated DCDC module to give 15V output from a 13V input. Its to provide isolated power to a DALI comms bus from a non mains isolated source.
We need full mains isolation. This is usually described as being able to withstand a hi-pot test at “3000VAC at 50Hz for one second”.
The Traco TEN 3-1213 DCDC module gives isolation of “1500VDC for one second”.
Do you think that this is therefore safe to use for our DALI comms bus? (ie, does it equate to full mains isolation)?

Is it possible for an LM324 to be damaged in such a way as all 4 op-amps still amplify but such a basic circuit fails?
Hello, I am trying to use an LM324 quad op-amp to build a basic function generator but i suspect the chip may be damaged.
When i perform a simple can-it-amplify test, all four op-amps pass: I attach a crystal earpiece to the +input, and an 8ohm speaker and a green LED to the output, and simply tap on crystal earpiece, and i get an audible click from the speaker and a flash from the LED when I perform this test on all 4 op-amps.
However, i have tried multiple google-search function generator circuits and none of them work. I get no square wave, and no reading on my digital scope, including this circuit:

Is it possible for an LM324 to be damaged in such a way as all 4 op-amps still amplify but such a basic circuit fails? I have tried constructing just the 1st stage and still get no square wave or output of any kind on pin 1.

I think the output current I get from the DC/DC converter is way too low, it should be at least 6-8 A, not in mA that I got. I think the resistor that I have in the end of the converter is needed in order to obtain 400 V.
Do anyone have any suggestion what could be the problem?
I found a similar converter in a research paper, where they obtained 400 V output voltage (Vo) ( which I got I think) and current output (Io) to 8 A.

Where I used to work, the technician would secure trimmer pots in position with a drop of nail polish. This kept the adjustment in position, yet still allowed it to be adjusted in the future.
In high-vibration applications do you think this is necessary? I'm using DC-DC converters like the one pictured, and a change in voltage will either interfere with operation or damage the connected circuits.
Is there a better choice than nail polish for this? Acrylic paint would probably work as well. A nice dot of red nail polish is a quick way to see the pot has been adjusted!
The "7 transistor" radios of days past always had daps of what looked like red paint securing all the coils and other adjustable components.

I have the some mh-et live esp32 minikit , and a very similar Wemos mini32, both have 'similar' pin out,
I am trying to power them not via the mini usb, but using either the 3.3 pin, or the vnc pin,
with different results, so does any one know how to do this correctly? - i'm a programmer, with some very basic
knowledge in electronics.
